The Opportunity :
UCF IT, Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an IT Project and Planning, Manager to oversee PMO process and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project / program / portfolio success.
This role involves managing documentation, driving process improvements, and facilitating due diligence processes for proposed projects and programs.
Facilitate communication and cross-functional teamwork, working closely with client stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure thorough discovery process and practice align with University strategy and goals.
Responsible for tracking and publishing key performance indicators throughout the project / program / portfolio life cycle, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Responsibilities :
Manage the execution of PMO process, ensuring project requests are reviewed by the appropriate IT and business stakeholders for successful delivery.
Liaison between leadership, business stakeholders, technical resources, and external vendors to ensure documentation of project scope, business processes, use cases, and requirements.
Maintain documentation of PMO processes such as project intake, governance, and compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices by creating and updating workflow diagrams, documentation, and facilitating demos.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, project managers, business leaders, and executive sponsors. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to ensure project success.
Work with management and other teams on process improvement efforts for the PMO processes. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to PMO processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and potential opportunities for improvement.
Participate and drive initiatives to drive process automation and digital transformation within the PMO and IT communities in general.
Includes the creation, presentation and facilitation of training and materials.
Participate in the development and maintenance of dashboards / reports for leadership, and stakeholders to track key performance indicators of active and proposed projects which UCF IT is undertaking ensuring transparency and accountability through accurate and timely reporting.
Manage Enterprise level IT projects from initiation to closure. Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla.

Preferred Qualifications :
PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience running agile projects or teams.
Experience coaching students or interns.
Experience leading and developing performance management reports and dashboards.
Experience leading large scale enterprise projects and teams.
Experience with governance and portfolio management process implementation and execution.

This is not a remote position. Up to 1-3 hybrid workdays may be available following a probationary period, depending on work duties and supervisor approval.
