PLEASE NOTE : All duties for this opportunity are performed at the client’s main office in Sacramento, California.
Daily work hours are 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm, Pacific Time, Monday-Friday.
KEY DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, verify, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
Ensure invoices are coded correctly to the general ledger.
Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Prepare and perform check runs.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Requesting missing invoices from vendors
Assist in month-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist with year-end audits.
Generate reports and provide support for internal and external audits.
DESIRED SKILLS & BACKGROUND
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Construction industry experience highly preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Experience with accounting software (, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable practices and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
