SUMMARY

As a result of doing this job description you will help to create the positive and friendly atmosphere at NFI. Your work here will develop your product knowledge so that you have a high level of expertise as a course of your work activities.

The expertise you exhibit will create a value for our customers and our Associates as they shop and work at NFI and lead to a genuine customer care experience.

To successfully assist the Pharmacy Manager in Pharmacy operations, which includes but is not limited to maximizing gross, margins, ensuring sales production, controlling inventory and expenses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory.
  • Supervises the accurate, efficient filling and dispensing of all written and oral prescriptions.
  • Provides patient consultation / education on all prescriptions.
  • Meets minimum standards for patient care.
  • Ensures outstanding customer service.
  • Knows and ensures adherence to all third party contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures as well as all federal and state drug laws.
  • Actively participates in all store and company wide meetings.
  • Develops and maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship with local health care providers and store associates.
  • Supports, implements, and is compliant with all corporate programs.
  • Stays abreast of changes within the profession of pharmacy. Take an active role in the future of the profession.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Assists the Pharmacy Manager in supervising the training of technicians.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must hold a valid Pharmacist license.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;

rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
