Are you passionate about making a difference in college students’ lives? As a Test Accommodation Center (TAC) Test Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring students with disabilities receive the test accommodations that have been approved to succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee Test Accommodations : Work under the guidance of the Director of Testing Services & the Test Accommodation Center to manage and deliver legally mandated test accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with Faculty and Students : Partner with faculty and students to provide accommodations such as extra time on exams, assistive technology, separate quiet rooms, and more.
- Maintain Integrity : Ensure the integrity of the testing environment and materials while meeting academic requirements.
- Support Students : Provide support to students during testing, especially during times of high emotional stress, to help them demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively.
- Handle Inquiries : Address a wide range of faculty inquiries, concerns, and special circumstances related to test accommodations.

Position Information
- This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits-eligible, temporary position anticipated to end on June 30, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment.
- This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Standard hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m., with occasional overtime required, including nights and weekends, during peak periods.
- The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field.
Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field;
experience should give evidence of competence and indicate the potential for further growth. A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
Key Qualifications
- Experience working with the topics, issues, and concerns of people with disabilities, including appropriate accommodations.
- Strong organizational skills in managing high volumes of administrative tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management systems.
- Familiar with assistive technology hardware and software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Work experience in disability services at the postsecondary level is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,841 per month.
