Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer

Job description :
- Analyzes and modifies product designs incollaboration with Design Engineering to assuremanufacturability.
- Develops design selectionspecification and optimization of the required equipment fixturestooling gaging processes and operations.
- Determines other technical matters required to make agiven product according to the desired volume timetable costquality level and other specifications.
- Includes the monitoring of established processes via datacollection for statistical analysis purposes as well as the use ofvarious continuous improvement enablers.
- Mayevaluate manufacturing capability and provide technical support atthe supply base.
- Designs and developsmanufacturing processes for products taking into considerationproblems inherent in the transfer of technology from research tomanufacturing.
- Such design and development mayinclude new or revised processes. Develops procedures for theeconomical mass production in cooperation with pilotplant andproduction departments.
- Conducts tests andmeasurements throughout stages of production to determine controlover applicable variables; and services troubleshoots and solvesproduction process problems with processes or equipment already inoperation.
- Reviews field support requirementsand recommends tools and test equipment.
- Determines maintenance and repair materials required fordeployment.
May make recommendationsconcerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment andmaterials.
