Work you'll do

The SAP HANA Architect is responsible for application architecture, data architecture and technical design for high performance and scalability in a distributed, multi-tier and cross-platform environment.

This role requires extensive experience in architecting and deploying analytic applications, and must possess hands-on experience in coding, deploying distributed architectures and platforms, creating benchmark tests, and designing for scalability / performance.

We are currently looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented technology leader with a deep commitment to success to be a part of our technology delivery process.

It also requires architecture design leadership and the ability to work with globally distributed teams.

Working as a part of the Data and Analytics (DnA) Talent team, you will envision and develop new applications as well as enhance existing HANA Talent solutions to support the Deloitte US Member Firm.

You will manage day-to-day product development activities across design, development, stakeholder communication, and delivery.

A key responsibility it to act as the technical visionary and leader for ongoing and future software development efforts using advanced data and analytics technologies such as HANA, Qlik, Tableau, BODS and BO reporting tools.

Responsibilities :

  • Architect, design, implement world-class products and solutions.
  • Design long-term, reliable, and end-to-end technical architectures.
  • Understand functional requirements from the client and appropriately convert them into technical design documents.
  • Participate in collaborative development of data management and analytic architecture standards / best practices.
  • Provide technical and architecture thought leadership.
  • Guide creation of architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure solutions result in a coherent systems design.
  • Conduct technology evaluations in order to select the most appropriate tools for projects and efforts.
  • Provide support / guidance to development teams during analysis, development, and testing processes.
  • Work with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, needs, and strategies to anticipate future business / technology needs.
  • Communicate implications of architectural decisions, technology costs, benefits and implementation requirements to business and DT-US Leadership.
  • Define and validate technical requirements and establish traceability between requirements and application design.
  • Provide input to the development of project initiation documents including objectives, scope, approach, estimates, deliverables.
  • Participate in, and leading when needed, production troubleshooting and 'War Room' Activities.
  • Seeks and capitalizes on the opportunities to improve productivity, time-to-market, solution quality & cost effectiveness.
  • Anticipate barriers to change and create opportunities to remove them.
  • Instill a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability emphasizing knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Demonstrate initiative and drive innovation.
  • Mentor technical leads and developers.
  • Perform SAP HANA programming as required.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to ensure your skills remain current.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or Accounting.
  • Minimum 6 years of directly related experience in the following : SAP HANA with experience in ETL (BODS, SLT or SDI) and MS SQL Server.
  • Minimum 1 year with previous people leadership or project management experience.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Industry experience in developing and architecture of software platforms, products.
  • Experience in data warehouse application development with solid understanding of advanced analytics concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in design & creation of models in HANA using analytic privileges & calculation views.
  • Experience in providing technical guidance to teams.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture.
  • Prior experience in leading architecture activities including the areas of design, roadmap, & proof-of-concepts.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams, managing multiple tasks / assignments with staggered due dates and deadlines through effective time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and communicate issues / risks while applying technical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active technical leader with strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within an agile development environment especially SCRUM using SAFe agile methodology.
  • Experience with HR / Talent data including HR / Talent data models, attributes, and concepts.
  • A background with SAP SuccessFactors and / or SAP ECC platforms.
  • A familiarity or history of working with data security and data classification standards.
  • History of working with distributed architectures and designing for scalability.
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud / on-premises data environment.
  • Experience in Analytics tools such as Crystal Reports, Analysis for Office, Tableau and Qlik.
  • The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,700 - $221,200
