The Role of the IT Technician I
The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the organization's computer systems and networks. Key duties include installing and configuring hardware and software, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring network security, performing regular system updates, and providing technical support to employees.
They may also assist with training users on new technology and software and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.
Key Functions
Communicates with both internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Hotel
Actively promote the services and facilities of the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts to the guest and suppliers of the hotels
Takes responsibility for individual development
Essential to position & to executing job responsibilities
Control the performance and upkeep of all equipment and system as required / instructed, and form a cohesive working relationship with co-workers
Responsible for preventative maintenance program concerning the CCTV network and hardware infrastructure
Trouble shooting and repairing hardware and Software issues for users
Resolving general IT issues in a timely manner
Must have good interpersonal skills
Maintain relationship with departments and FSHO
Assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues
Monitors the performance of all Servers and apparatus as and when required and carries out the necessary maintenance work in guest rooms
Assist in ensuring critical system uptime and availability (24 / 7)
Ensuring all work is logged through the Service Now ticket system
Maintain relationship with departments and FSHO
Assist with ensuring effective support for other systems, including back office, sales and catering, and human resources applications and any other at the property
Assist in establishing and maintaining user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems

Assist in providing systems administration, user configuration, troubleshooting access problems, and documentation
Assist with maintaining and promoting Four Seasons core technology standards as outlined in the Four Seasons IT Core Standards
Responds to all emergencies and ensure that all necessary tools, equipment and apparatus required from the department are brought to the scene
Knowledge & Skills
Education : A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications or specialized training may also be beneficial.
Experience : Candidates should have a minimum of two to three years of experience in IT, with a focus on hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration, and equipment maintenance.
Experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills and Abilities :
Proficiency in IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
Familiarity with engineering principles and equipment maintenance procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
