Position Description
The Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, UCI School of Medicine is seeking two full-time Clinical Geneticists with expertise in cancer genetics to join our clinical and academic faculty of 10 geneticists and 10 genetic counselors.
The Division provides outpatient care and inpatient consultation services to a diverse patient population in the cancer genetics clinics at UC Irvine Health, and in pediatric, metabolic, adult, and prenatal genetics clinics at UCI and our affiliated hospitals.
Division faculty members also participate in didactic and clinical training of residents, fellows, genetic counseling graduate students, medical students, and other trainees, and provide community outreach.
Clinical or translational research participation is possible and encouraged, and there are many possibilities for collaborative research.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- ABMGG board-certification or active candidacy in Clinical Genetics and Genomics
- Interest / experience in diagnosis and management of individuals with inherited cancer predisposition syndromes
- Applicants must be qualified for a medical license in the State of California. Additional board-certification in Medical or Clinical Biochemical Genetics, Laboratory Genetics / Genomics, Clinical Cytogenetics / Genomics, Clinical Molecular Genetics / Genomics, or in another ABMS specialty is beneficial but not required.
Spanish or Vietnamese language competency is helpful but not required.
