ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Right of Way Project Manager to work on projects based out of our Humble or Dallas, TX offices.

What you will be doing :
As our Right of Way Project Manager, you'll be in the driver's seat of some of the most complex and exciting federally funded projects around.
You'll work alongside our amazing clients to make sure their projects are executed seamlessly, from start to finish. From ensuring the right scope of work is in place to overseeing the project budget and financial requirements, you'll have your hands in every part of the project lifecycle.
You'll also be building relationships with key vendors and agencies, pursuing new business development opportunities, and supporting our recruiting efforts.
As the day-to-day manager of the project, you'll be responsible for keeping us on track, from timely project reporting to sending invoices to our clients.
And if that weren't enough, you'll also be managing our team of direct reports, making sure everyone is performing at their best and ensuring the project stays on schedule.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for implementing strategies for the Public Sector, set forth by the Executive Vice President (EVP), in compliance with overall company strategy to facilitate and foster client relationships.
They coordinate with the EVP regarding opportunities in the Public Sector in the region.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing Right of Way projects : must include working with or within a state Department of Transportation
- Experience utilizing the Uniform Relocation Act
- License must be hung with ORC*
- Active Texas Notary
- Prior experience with creating / maintaining project schedules and managing budgets
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically :
- Excel - able to add / delete rows and columns, sort and filter, search for data within a workbook and other basic formatting
- Word must be able to format documents and letters, and track changes made to documents;
- Able to upload documents into a shared online database, such as Dropbox or equivalent
- Outlook create / maintain outlook calendar; effectively sort and organize outlook emails
- 25% of your time is spent traveling
- Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications :
- IRWA R / W-URAC and / or SR / WA certifications
- Experience working with or within TxDOT

Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email.
Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and / or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing.
Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data.
Able to make quick decisions, present to staff and clients, have difficult conversations and supervise staff. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
This role requires the employee to travel regularly to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations.
While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
