What You Will Do :

The Senior Quality Inspector is a dual role position for inspecting and ensuring the quality of radiators and other heat transfer equipment, as well as performing repair services both in house and at customer sites.

This role combines technical inspection skills with hands-on repair expertise, requiring travel to various customer locations for offsite service.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Quality Inspection :
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished radiators to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Use various inspection tools and equipment to measure and verify product dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols to confirm compliance with design requirements.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and accurately document inspection results.
  • Review and verify material certificates, ensuring that all materials comply with required specifications.
  • Arrange for the calibration of gauges and other measurement instruments as needed.
  • Identify non-conformities, report findings, and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Service :
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair radiators, including fixing leaks, corrosion, and blockages.
  • Perform soldering, welding, and component replacement to restore radiator functionality.
  • Clean and flush radiators to remove debris and improve performance.
  • Test repaired radiators to ensure they are leak-free and functioning properly.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections, service, and repair work.
  • Provide customers with recommendations for radiator maintenance and replacement options.
  • Offsite Service :
  • Travel to customer sites to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on radiators and heat transfer equipment.
  • Ensure all work performed at customer sites meets safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of the work performed and any recommendations.
  • All duties as assigned.
  • What You Bring :
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and technical certification in quality inspection, automotive, or HVAC is a plus.
  • Experience in quality inspection, radiator repair, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and provide offsite service.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for inspection and repair work.
  • 5+ years of experience in QA
  • Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies and processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
