About the role and opportunity

We're seeking a talented, innovative, AI-native Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead our user research, product positioning, and community management efforts across our portfolio.

In this demanding, multi-faceted role, you'll spearhead initiatives to deeply understand our users, craft compelling product narratives, and foster vibrant user communities.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring product-market fit, enhancing user satisfaction, and driving engagement through effective communication strategies.

At Demand.io, Product Marketing plays a strong role in shaping our product strategy. You will lead user research initiatives and contribute significantly to product vision.

To succeed here, you should be comfortable working autonomously, creating your own end-to-end research plans and communication strategies that incorporate user insights, technology trends, and community dynamics.

In this role, you'll report directly to the CEO (who acts as Chief Product Officer), playing point on a range of strategic marketing initiatives spanning our product portfolio.

You'll be challenged to create novel approaches to user research and community engagement, continuously finding new ways to infuse AI into our product experiences and communication strategies.

You'll work closely with our data science and machine learning teams to develop deep insights into user behavior, continuously increasing user satisfaction and engagement with our products.

What you'll do

  • Design and conduct comprehensive user research initiatives to gather actionable insights for product development and marketing strategies
  • Develop and refine compelling product positioning and messaging that clearly articulates our unique value propositions across all channels
  • Lead and grow our community management efforts, including our Insiders program for power users, to foster engagement and user-generated content
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure new features align with user needs and market demands
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content that effectively communicates our product benefits and engages our user base
  • Implement and optimize product onboarding and in-app messaging to improve feature adoption and user engagement
  • Analyze product usage data and user feedback to inform product strategy and measure success of marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to the product roadmap by advocating for user-driven feature suggestions and improvements
  • Mentor junior team members in user research methodologies, community management practices, and effective product communication
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions with cross-functional teams to align on user insights and product strategy

About you

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, user research, or related fields, preferably in B2C tech or e-commerce
  • Strong background in user research methodologies with proven experience conducting impactful user studies
  • Experience with community management and fostering engaged user bases, particularly in tech or e-commerce sectors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling product narratives and messaging
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize insights from both qualitative and quantitative data sources
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate user insights into actionable product and marketing strategies
  • Passion for understanding user behavior and creating user-centric products and experiences
  • Experience with product positioning and messaging in competitive markets
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

About the job

  • Starting base salary range : $150,000 - $200,000 DOE
  • Stock options : 0.25% to 0.50% initial grant
