Team Intro

The USDS Security - Risk & Compliance team is responsible for managing USDS security compliance in accordance with US compliance requirements and objectives, and providing industry leading governance, risk, and compliance services.

The core service offerings include : Compliance & Security Risk Management, Controls & Compliance Framework, Security Compliance Policies, Charters, & Protocols, Vendor Program & Third-Party Risk Management, Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Platform, and Security & Compliance Behavior & Culture.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager / department.

We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities

TikTok is seeking a USDS Compliance & Security Training and Awareness Lead to be part of the USDS Security Risk and Compliance team.

The role will be responsible for managing the training and awareness team, developing the strategy, and facilitating growth of security and compliance behavior and culture for USDS Compliance across the organization.

This person will drive the development and maturity of the USDS Training and Awareness (TA) strategy and program, facilitate training sessions, and identify and remediate program gaps.

The Lead will design and deliver engaging training, workshops, and materials to enhance USDS and Global understanding of security and compliance requirements, positively impacting a measurable change in compliance behavior across USDS and Global TikTok.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the TA program and team to develop and execute a global compliance training and awareness strategy, with the overarching objective to impact positive and measureable change in compliance behavior across TikTok
• Develop a deep understanding of the USDS security and compliance requirements
• Define TA strategy and collaborate with HR, legal, and other cross-functional departments to build a comprehensive approach to security awareness and ensure that content and initiatives align to USDS compliance requirements, objectives, and industry standards;
• Effectively lead and mentor a team of high-performers, provide performance evaluations and constructive feedback
• Build relationships with key USDS and Global teams and serve as a business subject matter expert to deliver targeted and relevant USDS compliance training and awareness materials
• Successfully create and execute security and compliance communication campaigns to promote awareness and foster a culture of compliance based on best practices and USDS requirements
• Define metrics and measure KPIs to assess the efficacy of the TA Program to drive the overall strategy and facilitate the growth of positive security and compliance behavior across the organization
• Identify program gaps to develop, drive, execute, and iterate on a Training and Awareness strategy
• Analyze and implement feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods
• Work closely with cross-functional security and compliance teams to identify and incorporate emerging threats into training programs and develop and facilitate remediation training based on identified incidents and investigations
• Create engaging training materials, including but not limited to presentations, manuals, videos, and online courses, and regularly refresh and maintain content materials

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading the development of security and compliance training programs or related
• Proven experience creating and growing a global compliance training program, facilitating a measurable culture of compliance, and managing high-performing teams of at least 3-5 individuals
• 4+ years experience facilitating trainings for different stakeholders including executive level, technical and non-technical audiences
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, writing, marketing or similar with a focus on or experience in technology, security, or privacy strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to work cross-functionally across a global organization and within multiple IT operational and security disciplines
• Excellent presentation skills including the ability to understand and translate complex compliance concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and team building skills with experience providing executive level training
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards and familiarity with IT security concepts, practices and tools
• Project management skills and the ability to work well under pressure, within time and budget constraints
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design principles including being able to tailor content, present to various audiences, and adapt to different learning styles
• Team player and motivated self-starter who is resourceful and possesses a high degree of integrity and trustworthiness
