Job Title : Controller Property Management

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to manage the financial operations of our property management company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management accounting and will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance for our portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with property managers to prepare budgets and financial plans for each property.
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Ensure proper compliance with property management accounting standards and procedures.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a property management or real estate environment.
• Strong knowledge of property management accounting software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
