The Primary responsibility of the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), OTR / L is to provide direct patient care upon physician referral.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform patient care utilizing correct body mechanics.
- Competent to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses for patients who may be infants, children, adults or older adults.
- Professional experience includes advanced clinical and professional Hand skills, on-going clinical and professional growth and active participation in program development
- Basic and Advanced splinting skills
Required Experience
Required :
- Registered by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) and the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- Must maintain a current California Occupational Therapist license
- Current Hand Therapy Certification
- 5 years of Hand experience required
Preferred :
- Spanish speaking
- Basic Windows and Excel skills
- CPR certification
