KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Development of requirements and specifications for electrical and mechanical systems
- Work directly with Operations to improve processes, create / update work instructions, assembly drawings and travelers / routers
- Define and maintain product bill of materials (BOM)
- Create 2D cable drawings and interconnects
- Create manufacturing work instructions
- Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities for design, manufacturing, and production
- Identify and lead manufacturing process and design improvements
- Perform design, development, and validation of mechanical parts and systems
- Hands-on evaluation of mechanical parts, using a caliper, basic hand tools, etc.
- Maintain detailed change records via engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your own work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical and / or Mechanical)
- 2+ years of experience as a manufacturing or design engineer
- Adept with MS Word, Excel (filters, formulas, short cuts etc.), and PowerPoint
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication with an emphasis on interpersonal and organizational skills
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Circuit design (USB, PCIe, and Power)
- Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic system
