Clinical Data Quality Specialist

The Clinical Data Quality Specialist will oversee all aspects of data management for our health system’s quality department.

This role requires an understanding of clinical database development and the ability to compile complete, correct and consistent data to meet clinical quality and financial goals of our healthcare system.

The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex data systems and ensuring data integrity.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

  • Develop, automate, monitor, validate, and maintain clinical quality databases
  • Implement and maintain data visualization tools (such as dashboards) to enhance data accessibility and decision-making
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of data management activities
  • Implement algorithms and methodologies to detect when data does not meet standards or expectations set by the healthcare organization.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support quality and related departments as assigned.
  • Meet all assigned deadlines while navigating frequent disruptions and accomplish tasks within a fast-paced environment.
  • Embrace and support inclusion, belonging and health equity initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Generally Monday-Friday, Days. Evenings and Weekends as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in clinical / health system data management
  • Understanding of quality compliance and external regulatory reporting
  • Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (preferably Meditech) and data warehouse
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Tableau, and related software
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in clinical / health system data management
