Description

We are seeking a dedicated Blood and Platelet Center Supervisor to oversee our blood collection operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of Hospital Lab Technicians, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality blood collection services.

This role demands excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to patient care and donor experience.

  • Supervise and manage daily blood collection activities, including mobile blood drives and fixed sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate performance of Hospital Laboratory Technicians and support staff.
  • Oversee blood product conversion, optimization and retention efforts to meet blood collection targets.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of blood donor care and experience.
  • Coordinate logistics for mobile blood drives and / or Fixed Site operations as assigned, including site setup, facility management, fleet management and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of donor information and blood collection data.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for blood collection.
  • Provide guidance and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Salary Range : $68,799.60 - 141,002.64 / year

Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading a team, process, and / or projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
  • Basic Life Support certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association. If you do not currently have this certification, you must obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • Obtain LiveScan clearance.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2 years or more of supervisory experience, preferred.
  • 2 years or more of blood center collections experience, preferred.
