3P innovation is currently accepting candidates for a Workshop Supervisor, based at our facility in Warwick. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, results oriented individual, who is innovative and analytical with a passion for change. 3P innovation is a leader in the manufacture of automated machinery for the pharmaceutical, medical device and FMCG industries. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Production Engineering & Supply Chain Manager.

Job Objective

The Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for managing the resourcing of a team of technicians to ensure the timely completion of machine builds and installations across a number of projects. There is also a requirement to manage the workshop and facilities and be responsible for the completion of all internal and external routines. The successful candidate will have the responsibility for ensuring best practices in quality, cost control, resource efficiency, risk management, and health, safety, and environment are achieved.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the workload of technicians, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to budget and that customer's expectations are met.
• Allocation and management of workshop areas and resources.
• Establish and manage the inspection / finishing processes of machined components.
• Supervise the completion of the maintenance routines for all machinery / equipment.
• Responsible for the facilities management of all company buildings.
• Working with the H&S Officer to ensure that the department complies with all health and safety standards with a culture of zero harm.
• Lead the 5S programme throughout the company.
• Implementation and improvement of workshop working practices and SOPs.
• Responsible for waste disposal and recycling, COSHH and LOLER & PUWER in responsible areas on day-to day-basis.
• Management of stock levels of consumables, packaging and raw materials; management of general inventory.
• Responsible for calibration of equipment and instrumentation.
• Setting and control of budget and workshop spend.
• Maintaining good communications and working relationships within the team, with other departments, with external clients and with visiting creative teams.
• Undertake performance reviews and disciplinary duties; responsible for team recruitment, training and development.
• Other duties as assigned.
