Production Training Specialist

Our state-of-the-art Kitchens department located in La Crosse, WI produces over 40 different food products for our 800 retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy everything from our soups, salads, sandwiches to our Pothole Pizzas. With our expansion we are now able to offer a variety of Take Home Meals and finished fruit and vegetable products, all prepared daily by our Kitchens team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Production Training Specialist. This person will build and strengthen our relationship with our non-English speaking coworkers, by providing support and training to coworkers, as well as assisting with interviews, new hire orientation, communication, translation, and interpretations. This person will be responsible for ensuring coworkers receive adequate on the job training in the Production environment, which will include understanding a wide variety of equipment and how to properly operate it, safety and lean practices, and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities include :

• Ensure coworkers have a clear understanding of Standard Work practices on the different lines throughout the facility, including but not limited to how to set up, clean up, and transition between sku's.
• Ensure coworkers are receiving proper GMP, Alchemy, Safety, QA and Lean training
• Provide interpretation and translation for both coworkers and leaders when needed
• Assist HR with interviews, job fairs, phone screens, and new coworker orientation
• Attend Production Job Fairs as needed
• Attend meetings or trainings on an as needed basis

Qualifications :

American Translators Association certificate is a plus, but not required.

Physical qualifications : perform repetitive reaching / wrist / hand movements constantly; stand / walk up to 10 hours per shift constantly; push / pull up to 30 pounds of force; lift / carry up to 40 pounds; work in 35 to 47 degree F temperatures.

Work Schedule : Monday through Friday working 2nd shift hours, 1 : 00pm to 9 : 00pm. This position may include some weekends if needed.
