North America Controller (North Dallas Area)

job summary :

Tatum has a Private Equity backed North American client that is in need for a Controller to stabilize and establish cohesiveness within the Accounting department.

This $165Mil (+ / -) company has substantial growth via organically as well as through acquisitions.

responsibilities :

• Responsible for the monthly close process.
• Stabilize current department
• Immediate need for accounting clean up and process improvements
• Build out more of the accounting team at this North Dallas location; which includes evaluating current talent & making tough decisions
• Heavy manual billing process, looking to automate this process in the 1st 90 days
• Get a handle on these specific challenges : intercompany transactions, foreign currency, fixed assets, & inventory control

qualifications :

• Private Equity backed company experience preferred
• Proficiency with current financial software - NetSuite - preferred
• A history of managing fairly large accounting teams (25+)
• A track record of coming into chaotic environments with ability to bring organization and control to it in a short period of time.
• Public accounting experience preferred

Hands-On" pre & post acquisition transaction experience

Experience with warehouse management preferred
