This part-time position is ideal for candidates with a passion for teaching and a strong background in web design, social media strategies, and video production.
POSITION SUMMARY
- The instructor must be available during flexible hours, accommodating two-hour classes once or twice a week or as scheduled
- Develop and deliver engaging courses on web design, focusing on social media strategies, video creation, and content development.
- Tailor instruction to meet the specific needs of students interested in the dynamic field of web design and digital content creation.
- Instruct students in the practical application of web design principles for social media platforms.
- Emphasize the creation of visually appealing and effective content for online marketing and communication.
- Provide opportunities for hands-on learning, including practical exercises, projects, and real-world scenarios related to web design and content creation.
- Offer constructive feedback to students, focusing on individual improvement and skill development.
- Encourage creativity while maintaining a balance with industry standards and best practices.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, skill levels, and the ever-evolving landscape of web design and digital media.
- Collaborate with Program Directors and Supervisors to align courses with the overarching educational goals of the Continuing Education Program.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in web design, with a focus on social media strategies, video production, and content creation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard web design tools and platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Teaching experience preferred.
