Slackwater is growing!! We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team, We have been passionately serving artisan pizzas and creating a craft beer community in Ogden since 2011.

As we look to the future we are searching for talented and passionate people to grow with us. We are busy and make everything from scratch so a serious drive for excellence and attention to the finest details is required.

We are outdoor enthusiasts of every variety who love to have a good victory beer! We want someone who loves to execute in a fast-paced, detailed environment.

Responsibilities :

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day kitchen operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees.

In addition, you will oversee our food quality, kitchen execution, and efficiency, ordering and inventory, optimizing profits, and ensuring that our guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

Most importantly our Kitchen manager is the driving force behind our high standards. We want someone who loves to cook food and enjoys this industry.

  • Caring about every recipe we make.
  • Ensure that all recipes are made according to the guidelines given.
  • Keep your kitchen clean and organized with proper labeling.
  • Follow all opening and closing duties in accordance with our guidelines.
  • Manage Food Costs through a weekly inventory system that creates drivable action plans to maintain a variance of 1.5% or less.
  • Create and / or maintain a high standard for our products and plating, and make sure the finished product is as perfect as it can be.
  • Complete and manage all ordering of food and supply items.
  • Ensure that the kitchen has the utensils required to perform food service.
  • Maintain a schedule that covers the needs to execute an efficient kitchen where pizzas are served within 25 minutes MAX and apps in 15 minutes MAX.
  • Maintain a BOH labor of 15% annually.
  • Work with GM to manage Restaurant supplies on the P&L
  • Maintain FIFO and prep sheet pars.
  • Proper execution of HACCP plan and Cook and Chill processes.
  • Maintain all checklists, taste and temp, and any other food safety measures.
  • Ensure that handwashing is occurring regularly and when necessary.
  • Make sure that all equipment and handwashing stations are always maintained and clean.
  • Manage trash and recycling procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and train and develop all kitchen employees both in execution and food cost management.
  • Conduct positional preshift direction and follow up with direct positive feedback.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays no question.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in restaurant kitchen management.
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bilingual with English and Spanish preferred but not required
