Step into a day on the Ashley floor

Sunrise over Advance, NC. You clock in at our manufacturing campus, greet your team, and review the day’s build plan. You might start at a CNC router, precision-cutting components, then switch to an edge bander or gluer machine to bring pieces together. After lunch, you could assist our distribution team—moving finished goods with a clamp truck, performing quality checks, and staging orders so families nationwide receive comfort on time.

Tools and systems you’ll master

  • Band saws, belt sanders, and blow molding machines
  • Conveyor systems, calipers and micrometers
  • Clamp trucks, edge banders, and gluer machines
  • Industrial robots and CNC routers

  • Run and care for production equipment; complete changeovers and basic upkeep
  • Follow daily schedules to hit build and ship targets
  • Verify specs and workmanship; correct defects to protect our quality promise
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform minor mechanical repairs
  • Keep your zone safe, orderly, and audit-ready
  • Coordinate with teammates to keep materials and information flowing
  • Your role across manufacturing and distribution

  • Manufacturing : Assemble components with precision, document production digitally, package goods for shipment, and use ergonomic techniques to handle materials safely
  • Distribution : Move and store products with powered industrial vehicles and cherry pickers, conduct in-process checks, and organize inventory to maintain velocity
  • What you bring

  • Hands-on experience with band saws, belt sanders, blow molding machines, conveyors, calipers / micrometers, clamp trucks, edge banders, gluer machines, industrial robots, and CNC routers
  • Ability to read prints / specs and translate them into high-quality work
  • Strong attention to detail with a knack for solving problems fast
  • Mechanical aptitude to handle minor fixes and adjustments
  • Clear communication and a team-first mindset
  • Comfort in a fast-paced production setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience
  • Physical and safety expectations

  • Frequently move loads up to 100 lbs; occasionally handle up to 250 lbs (using proper equipment and techniques)
  • Operate machinery and hand tools with care, following all procedures
  • Record production accurately using scanners or handwritten logs
  • Identify defects and take action to repair or escalate
  • Champion a safe workplace by following protocols and watching out for your team
