Job Description
Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
Property Accounting : Oversee and manage all accounting functions related to the company's residential and commercial properties.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports.Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Financial Reporting and Analysis : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies.
Compliance and Auditing : Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and property management accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience with payroll and insurance management is a plus.
