Join our team of dedicated educators for the 2024 / 2025 School Year in Santa Rosa, CA. We are seeking three Special Education Teachers to fill permanent positions across different grade levels and certifications.
These full-time roles involve delivering specialized educational services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), coordinating services, and participating in IEP meetings.
Position Details :
- High School Special Education Teacher : Combo Resource / Self-Contained (Mild / Moderate Certification)
- Provide instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs in both resource and self-contained settings.
- Middle School Special Education Teacher : Self-Contained (Moderate / Severe Certification)
- Teach and support middle school students with moderate to severe disabilities in a self-contained classroom environment.
- TK-2 Elementary Special Education Teacher : Self-Contained Autism / Behavior (Mild / Moderate Certification)
- Focus on providing specialized instruction and behavioral support to young students with autism and behavioral challenges in a self-contained classroom.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies and interventions based on students' IEP goals and needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and document student progress, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
- California Teaching Credential in Special Education with appropriate certification for the specific position (Mild / Moderate or Moderate / Severe).
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in the specified grade level and certification area.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
