Licensed Practical Nurses per-diem, part-time, immediate openings, 3rd shift.

Baldpate is a private substance abuse treatment center in Georgetown MA. Since 1938, Baldpate has been treating individuals suffering from alcoholism and / or all forms of opiate addiction.

This position is in the main building, a historic comfortable and beautiful Inn, surrounded by 86 acres of peaceful hills and valleys.

At the Inn building, we have a maximum of 16 patients. We are seeking individuals who are tired of a fast paced workplace who would prefer a less stressful environment.

Patients are referred to as guests, and are treated in kind. If you are a retired nurse and would like to return to the workplace on either part-time (2 or three nights weekly) or on a per-diem basis (one or two nights weekly), or are looking to supplement your daytime employment, this may be a position worthy of your consideration. All applicants must have current LPN Licensure in Massachusetts, a CPR registration and a minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facility.

Applicants must have the ability to easily interact with other nursing staff, physicians and allied disciplines to ensure a safe therapeutic environment is maintained for all patients.

Computer literacy, excellent writing skills and the ability to interact in a congenial and compassionate manner with residents is mandatory.

All nurses participate in treatment team meetings and develop plans of care, administer medications and monitor effectiveness;

other duties as assigned. Supervisory skills, common sense and a compassionate spirit are essential personality characteristics.
