This role is for experienced professionals who are either actively looking for their next professional opportunity or returning to the workforce after taking time off from the paid workforce.

This role is not a formal returnship role nor is it part of a returnship program. The hiring manager for this role is excited to hire a return to work candidate and will help with any knowledge gaps.

This client is a family friendly employer and is working to bring moms, dads and caregivers back into the paid workforce.

Candidates should live within the Naperville, IL or San Ramon, CA areas; the team works remotely 2 days a week and goes into the office 3 days a week.

Job Description

• Investigates and identifies strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions.
• Defines business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes, and collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Sources business and market data to evaluate the effect of projects on business results. Also assesses the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware, and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results.

Identifies and analyzes malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoots issues raised by business.

• Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions / initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
• Supports various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
• Develops informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
• Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Builds test cases in order to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.
• Provides specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
• Delivery of end-to-end business requirements covering business processes, process workflows, and upstream and downstream systems integrations.
• Work with the business team to understand the business needs and translate business requirements into functional requirements, well-defined user stories, workflows, and define solutions.
• Work closely with the development team to refine and support development, testing, and release of the functionality.

• Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate the ideas clearly to diverse business and technical audiences.
• Proficient in SQL to help with data analysis and building use cases.
• Testing, including the creation of test scenarios, test data, and participating in UAT to validate the requirements.

Hours and Location

• M - F, 40 hours / week
• Hybrid - 3x on-site in San Ramon, CA or Naperville, IL
