Qualifications
Education / Experience : BSN required, MSN highly preferred. Minimum 5 years of medical surgical, intensive care, or specialty nursing clinical and / or teaching experience in acute care.
License / Certification required : Active RN licensure, BLS required, ACLS / PALS / NRP / specialty certifications may be required depending upon unit assigned Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Clinical expertise in the specialty area. Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or a group of patients. Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands. Ability to perform independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions. Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
Demonstrates effective organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking / problem-solving and decision making. Ability to implement change.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
