Sr. Account Executive, Ad Sales

DIRECTV is seeking a Senior Account Executive in our Ad Sales organization. A successful candidate must be an effective leader, strategist, and communicator with deep understanding of the media ecosystem including linear, addressable, streaming / digital inventory.

This person is a strong presenter and creative problem solver who can consult marketers on how to take advantage of DIRECTV capabilities and deliver business outcomes that matter.

The ability to succeed in changing and complex environments is key.

Here’s what you’ll do :

  • Focus on account management, driving new business, and overseeing a pipeline of leading East Coast based clients within the CPG, Retail, Financial, and Dining categories.
  • Organize client meetings and conduct sales calls to build a sales pipeline to meet quarterly targets.
  • Build lasting client relationships and meet customer needs.
  • Design and implement strategic plans that solve for marketplace challenges and help achieve revenue targets across all DIRECTV platforms including linear, Addressable and digital.
  • Foster a collaborative culture. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders including Agency sales, Digital sales, Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, and Pricing & Planning.
  • Use knowledge of relevant media / marketing landscape and key competitors to identify and develop DIRECTV’s unique differentiators.

Stay up to date on vertical trends, applying this knowledge to category specific sales materials.

Build the DIRECTV brand and knowledge of our leading solutions at industry events and thought leadership opportunities.

What you’ll need to be successful :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with minimum 6 years with Media / Sales experience.
  • Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate with C-level stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail oriented, with leadership and problem-solving skills.

This role requires, but is not limited to, 20% travel.

This is a New York City, NY, based position that works both in-office (2 days / week) and remotely. #LI-Remote

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position and work location(s) listed in the job posting US Labor Market Zone(s).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONE

N4 : $154,905 - $232,415

Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
