For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care.
This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women's services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services.
We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation.
Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services.
We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. We have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.
Together, we continue to raise the bar in healthcare.Job Summary and QualificationsOur Medical Technologists (MT) perform assigned laboratory tests in specialty departments to include Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
By conducting laboratory tests and procedures, you will help to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Day-to-day duties include complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
You will also be responsible for specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department. You will troubleshoot / resolve instrument problems and document corrective action in appropriate log and when necessary, perform instrumentation repairs.
Assure that quality control is properly performed and logged and follow proper department procedure for corrective action.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to train new employees and / or students. You will actively participate in phlebotomy and the accession responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor s Degree in Medical Technology of Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field. Open to experience even new grad as long as they have completed clinical in a hospital.
Any MT experience or even MLT experience works as well. Medical Technologists (MT) registry required to start.
