This position reports to the Flight Mechanics Section in Blue Origin’s Space Systems Development business unit.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will develop aerospace multidisciplinary models and simulations using platforms ranging from desktop computers, software-in-the-loop simulation, hardware-in-the-loop labs, to on-vehicle simulation.
You will perform trade studies and system performance analysis to support vehicle parachute configurations and flight test program.
Your efforts will further the design of a Blue Origin funded versatile spacecraft that will serve a wide variety of customers.

Qualifications :
- B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics or related technical subject area
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in development of aerospace vehicle and / or physical system models and simulations
- Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, flight mechanics, and 1st principles physics-based mathematical models
- Familiarity with Python / C / C++ for building low-level simulations
- Experience with aerodynamics, parachute hardware, and parachute modeling and simulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to execute in a dynamic, fast-paced, and driven work environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.
S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired :
- M.S. or PhD in the subject disciplines
- Solid system engineering and configuration management skills
- Experience NASA simulation tools and environments (Trick / JEOD)
- Experience with Julia SW language
- Familiarity with Orbital Mechanics, Astrodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Robotics, Flight Environment Analysis, Simulation, and Modeling
- Experience with verification and validation of aerospace simulations and models
Compensation Range :
CA applicants : $136,800.00-$191,520.00; CO applicants : $125,400.00-$175,560.00; WA applicants : $136,800.00-$191,520.00
