JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary / Objective
The human resource director is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.
This is a hands-on role. The role will be a cross between a Director of all HR and HR Business partner for certain areas.

Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures;
performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organizations policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
- Provides advice and counsel to department heads, managers and staff on updating and interpreting programs.
- Leads special and cross-functional project teams.
- Researches analyze data and prepare quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions, and current program goals and progress.
- Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Provides advice and counsel to department heads, managers and staff on updating and interpreting programs
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the organizations wage and salary program.
- Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organizations personnel information needs.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
- Supervises the staff of the human resource department.
