Perform mental health treatment services, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and coordinating patient care with appropriate staff.
Duties include :
- Performing comprehensive mental health treatment services to patients including intake evaluations, assessments, individualized treatment plans, crisis intervention, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy treatment planning, case management, and outreach.
- Providing psychotherapy and substance abuse treatment and services to primary adults and adolescents and children as needed.
- Providing crisis intervention, including walk-ins.
- Coordinating care with psychiatrists, behavioral health managers, medical social workers, provider staff, perinatal program manager, and other AHS staff as needed for patient care and recovery.
- Providing counseling, information referral, and follow-up services for AHS patients in family violence situations.
- Providing consultation for other AHS staff related to mandated reporting duties and treatment services as appropriate
- Working with providers for consultations regarding behavioral modification techniques.
- Coordinating and conducting domestic violence training to AHS staff as needed.
- Maintaining patient records and documenting services provided in a timely manner.
- Updating and maintaining a behavioral health database.
- Ensuring that operations, procedures, interventions, and documentation comply with the agency, state, and county guidelines, and quality assurance standards.
- Participating in behavioral health services meetings and presentations as needed.
- Liaising with outside agencies including psychiatric / counseling institutions, social service agencies, or other mental health facilities to coordinate patient care for AHS patients.
- Participating with the community mental health treatment team.
- Providing clinical supervision to MSWs and ASWs as needed.
- Conduct MoCA assessments for cognitive / memory screenings as appropriate for patient care.
Minimum Requirements :
Master's Degree in Social Work or related field. Two years of Social Work post-graduate degree.
Clinical Social Worker license with the State of California Board of Behavioral Science is required.

Conducting assessments and reassessments
Developing individual care plans
Providing individual and group psychotherapy to individuals with mental illnesses
Case management.
