The right candidate will join our Des Moines, IA, office on a hybrid schedule.
What we’re looking for :
SHAZAM is looking for a Sr. Communications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead efforts within the communications team to craft client communications, collaborate with and serve as a communications resource to the organization, and help education on our corporate voice and style along the way.
What you'll do :
Demonstrate exception skill in written communications, including grammar, voice, mechanics, structure, consistency, conciseness, and empathy, while applying company and communication professional principles, standards, and best practices.
Primary work is focused on business writing to explain changes and upgrades to SHAZAM products and services.
- Follow project life cycle processes, attend and actively participate in corporate project meetings; review business requirements, assess and develop internal and external communication plans, and work with management and other subject matter experts to develop, approve, and distribute or publish assigned communication deliverables.
- Demonstrate leadership and guidance to SHAZAM management and staff. Help others on the communications team to identify, understand, and solve problems.
What you need :
- Minimum of five years’ experience in writing, editing, and business communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills are critical.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others as this role works as a team, in addition to individual assignments.
- Project management skills and writing to convey information to clients about changes and updates to SHAZAM products and services.
- An excellent eye for detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Experience with Salesforce and Pardot is a plus!
