The Ford Feature Systems Engineer position involves an ownership of features from first concept through development and into production.

You will interact with cutting edge technology to enable home charging of battery electric vehicles and integration with customer's home back-up power.

The ideal candidate is a self starter that has an endless passion for finding / fixing bugs and improving the customer experience.

They must have great communication skills to lead a very large cross functional team to deliver the required functionality from end to end.

This job will challenge you resulting in invaluable experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree
  • 3+ years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and / or features
  • Strong learning agility
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong systems thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex issues
  • Emotional resilience to negotiate cross functional trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of related experience in an automotive engineering role
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams)
  • Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
  • Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model
  • Electrical D&R / testing experience
  • Working knowledge of home electrical distribution & UI standards

This position is a range of salary grades 7 to 8
