As a vital component of our estimating department, the Electrical Estimator will play a key role in supporting project preparations and execution of electrical cost estimating.
The chosen candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of developing detailed cost estimates that not only align with project specifications but also ensure competitive positioning and financial efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and interpret project blueprints and technical documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Consult with industry experts, clients, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Analyze data and factors like labor costs, materials, production times etc., to determine the overall cost of the project.
- Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to client, stakeholders, or management teams.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Conduct site visits for better understanding of project complexities and required resources.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, clients, and contractors on estimates.
- Use specialized software to aid in the estimation and documentation process.
- Recommend cost-saving options or alternatives for project optimization.
- Periodically update internal teams on projected costs and any changes to the budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.
- Must have comprehensive electrical and project control experience.
- Strong expertise in drawing interpretations, tender preparation and claims management.
- Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and others for estimating and project planning.
- Exceptional numerical strength and analytical mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with clients.
- Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
