About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Specialty : Outpatient Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day shift, flexible with options of 5x8-hour shifts or 4x9-hour shifts plus a 4-hour shift Guaranteed Hours : Client may reduce hours up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without compensation Experience : Minimum 1 year required License : Active IL state license required or pending application process with estimated time of approval Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), PTA certification required Must-Have : Experience with geriatrics and orthopedics, required assessment and equipment handling skills, and time management proficiency Job Description : Open to a later start date if necessary- First-time applicants are accepted- No weekend work required- No on-call requirement- Clinician may float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs- Block scheduling available Monday through Friday- Locals are accepted with no radius limitations- Required patient population experience includes geriatrics and orthopedics- Required assessment skills include AROM / AAROM / PROM, arousal and attention, assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, skin integrity, strength testing, and vital signs- Required equipment and device handling experience includes crutches, gait belts, rolling walkers, and standard walkers- Time management skills are essential- Facility highlights : Critical Access, Magnet-designated hospital with 25 staffed beds- Charting experience with Cerner preferred- COVID-19 vaccine not required;
flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions available- Completion of non-billable orientation and annual modules required
