Position Overview : The VP of Financial will be a key member of the executive management team and will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and performance of the company.

This role will provide leadership in the development of financial strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within a public company setting and possess a deep understanding of capital markets, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.

Ideally this person would transition into the role of CFO.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company, ensuring it aligns with the overall business objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders; serve as the primary financial spokesperson for the company.
• Lead efforts to secure financing, including debt and equity, and manage capital structure to optimize financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements, including SEC filings.
• Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop corporate strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and risk management.
• Supervise the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and providing guidance on complex financial issues.
• Oversee risk management and insurance programs to protect the company’s assets.
• Participate in M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
• Monitor economic, business, and regulatory changes that may impact the company, advising the executive team on appropriate responses.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a public company.
• In-depth knowledge of SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and capital market activities.
• Proven experience in managing investor relations and capital-raising efforts.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
