The Senior Electrical Designer is responsible for collecting and analyzing technical information to develop fundamental electrical engineering designs and drawings for client projects.
This includes work on power systems, lighting, electrical distribution, one-line diagrams, load studies, equipment lists (such as transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS systems), and associated schematics.
The role also involves site visits to client facilities, where some hands-on tasks may be required as part of the design process.

- Design Calculations and Plan Development :
- Conducts detailed design calculations and develops plans for electrical systems.
- Team Collaboration :
- Collaborates with fellow designers, engineers, and project team members, ensuring clear communication across departments, with suppliers, and with clients.
- Data Collection and Analysis :
- Gathers relevant data and performs in-depth design calculations.
- Specification of Equipment :
- Specifies components for power systems, lighting, motor control centers, grounding, and more.
- Creation of Design Documents :
- Produces electrical load studies, control schematics, and detailed installation drawings.
- Utilization of Design Software :
- Uses computer-aided engineering and design tools to complete design tasks.
- Field Work Assistance :
- Participates in field activities such as gathering site information, verifying installations, troubleshooting, and assisting with maintenance and repairs.
- Project Design Leadership :
- Works with the Lead Engineer to oversee electrical designs and CAD drawings for assigned projects.
- Policy Compliance :
- Ensures adherence to all company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Safety and Security :
- Observes safety and security protocols, reports any potential hazards, and properly uses equipment and materials.
