VirginiaCommonwealth University (VCU) is seeking qualified candidates for an OnlineAdjunct Faculty position in Social Work within the School of Social Work.
Thisposition offers opportunities to teach in the online modalities of the Bachelorof Social Work (BSW) and / or Master of Social Work (MSW) programs, across avariety of subjects, including : human behavior in the social environment,research, generalist / clinical / macro practice, policy, social justice, andvarious elective topics.
Position Responsibilities :
Responsibilities for Online Teaching :
Deliver high-quality instruction during three to five synchronous sessions per semester in the online format
Utilize VCU’s learning management system, Canvas
Prepare engaging and informative weekly asynchronous videos to supplement the online learning experience
Hold weekly virtual office hours to provide guidance and support to students
Engage with students in a timely manner, utilizing excellent written and oral communication skills
Provide feedback and grades to students promptly
Fulfill additional duties as required while teaching in our Programs
Adhere to all Virginia Commonwealth University and School of Social Work policies
This is a part-time, non-benefited appointment
Salary : $4,341 (3 credits) $1,447 per credit hour
