What You'll Do :

Promote Safety. In accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times.

Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Lubricate, clean, and perform other small services on heavy mobile and stationary equipment to maximize performance and limit downtime.

Inspect Equipment and Materials. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and schedule equipment services based on company and manufacturer recommendations.

Routinely perform oil samples, interpret results, and make recommendations based on analysis.

Document and Record Information. Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed daily and monthly regarding all equipment.

Enter and maintain service reports for all the equipment in written or electronic form.

Handle and Move Objects. Safely handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools throughout the shop and plant.

Perform General Physical Activities. Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need :

Experience. Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred. Experience with CAT SIS or ET programs is highly desired.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.

Working Ability. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Hourly Range. The hourly range for this role is between $23.00 and $34.13. This range does not include our discretionary bonus, shift differential, or equity package.

When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

Shift Differential. At Vulcan Materials Company, Northeast Division, Night Shift employees are paid a Shift Differential of an additional 10% on their base pay for working during the designated time.
