Position Overview : The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our client base by building strong relationships with customers in the assigned territory.

This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, demonstrate product knowledge, and provide tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation : Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Client Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, designers, and homeowners to understand their flooring needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations : Present and demonstrate flooring products to clients, highlighting features, benefits, and installation processes.
  • Sales Negotiation : Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Research : Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting : Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using insert CRM software, if applicable .
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing and product teams to provide feedback on customer preferences and assist in promotional efforts.
  • After-Sales Support : Ensure customer satisfaction by following up post-sales, addressing any issues, and ensuring repeat business.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience : 2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.
  • Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and trust with clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Attributes : Self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
