Operating Room (OR) Nurse
Location : Colorado West Healthcare System d / b / a / Community Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado
Hours : Monday through Friday with weekend on-call requirements.
Responsibilities :
Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Explain procedures and treatments to patients and their family members to alleviate concerns and ensure understanding.
Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are readily available for each surgical procedure; accurately mark and address any needed charge adjustments with the Buyer.
Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques and protocols.
Maintain continuous focus on the surgical procedure in the assigned operating room.
Assist with room turnover, including cleaning and returning supplies, instruments, and equipment as needed.
Demonstrate clinical expertise and contribute to advancing perioperative nursing practices by staying informed of current research and trends in the specialty.
Requirements :
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Colorado.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited program.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and training in nursing.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Five (5) or more years of expereince as an Operating Room Nurse.
