SUMMARY
Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Staff Nurse RN (0.9 FTE : 4 or 5 days / week, 8 hour shifts) for our Cardiology Clinic in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift.
Additional responsibilities will include supporting cardiovascular service line nursing activities, as needed.
This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.
A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by :
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications :
- One year of nursing experience in a cardiovascular practice
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
