Duties and Responsibilities This role provides overall leadership to the operations of our Paint / Powder Coating Department.

This includes production planning and scheduling, employee leadership, knowledge of job costing and ability to read and understand financial reports.

This position is responsible for leading the Paint / Powder Coating Department in a manner that produces timely and efficient output to meet customer demands.

General Requirements : Constant employee leadershipManage employees assuring all procedures are followedCreate / update procedures as identified and train to assure all employees are using the same methodsReview new products for potential paint issues and best method to processProvide accurate and competitive cost information for calculations by estimating softwareProduction leadership - ensuring prompt actions to facilitate on time delivery of quality parts in the most efficient and safest manner on an ongoing basisAnalyze needs and make business case recommendations for expanding department capabilitiesResponsible for the administration of payroll, absenteeism as well as numerous other employment processesAbility to evaluate, assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new employeesConduct employee evaluationsConstantly contribute in a positive manner to WEBCOs culture Safely operate in a high mix / low volume production environmentAccurately identify paint defects in powder coated and liquid coated partsRead blueprints, perform inspections, perform paint touch up following established proceduresMust take pride in workQuality check work of other members of the paint and powder coating department to identify and correct defects prior to items moving to next internal customerMaintaindetailed recordsEnsure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, anticipated completion time, etc.
