Position Summary PMA has an immediate opening for a Senior Construction Project Manager to manage a portfolio of high-profile Aviation projects.
Responsibilities include overall engineering, procurement, and construction management and coordination of activities such as procurement support, design reviews, bid reviews, cost analysis, change order negotiation, schedule development and monitoring, risk management, coordination with key stakeholders, and oversight of construction work, QA / QC, preparing weekly progress reports and presentations for the senior management, and performing other duties required to support the client.
The successful candidate for this full-time role will work on-site at two locations : Newark Liberty International Airport and our client’s office in downtown Newark.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
- 10+ years of experience managing design and project execution required.
- Aviation project and / or commercial real estate experience preferred.
- PANYNJ experience a plus.
- Experience in all levels of the project life cycle, including feasibility, procurement, design review, construction, and commissioning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Experience with presenting work products and facilitating work sessions preferred.
- Experience in collaborating on project issues and working independently with minimal direction required.
- Experience in strategic program / project planning required.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with multiple end-users including collecting and validating their requirements as well as managing expectations required.
Additional Requirements Physical : Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive : Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
