Resort Assistant Manager

About the role :

The Resort Assistant Manager will oversee areas that may include Front Office, Guest Services, and Concierge. This position acts as the manager on duty in the hotel when senior management is not available.

This position ensuresaccurate communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, and special requirements. The Resort Assistant Manager will also assist the Front Desk Manager with daily arrivals, VIPs, special requests, group needs, room assignments and coordinates with the Housekeeping Department for guests' needs.

What you will do :

Assists in leading the Front Desk, Bell, Concierge, Housekeeping and Laundry employees.

Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests.

Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible;

assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services.

Assists in recruitment, training, and staff schedules. Conducts Performance Evaluations and documentation of staff when needed.

Ensures standards are being met, staff are being supported and guest satisfaction is high and responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner

What you bring :

Minimum2 +yearsexperiencein a similar role, in a luxury hotel settingpreferred.

Requires excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.

Knowledge of hotel operating systems and supervisory experience is preferred.

This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.

Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Schedule & Hours :

This is a full-time position.

A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
