Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for a full-time faculty member in the Speech-Language Pathology Program.

The program is housed in the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. We are seeking vibrant and innovative individuals at the instructor or assistant professor level.

Appointment will be for months with rank and salary commensurate with academic credentials and experience. Position to begin in the month of June or as soon as possible.

The cornerstone of the program is the education of speech-language pathologists with a focus on culturally responsive practices.

The new faculty member should value diversity, interprofessional practice, and education, and support the mission of the university for whole person healthcare.

The position requires dedication to providing exceptional education to meet the needs of a diverse student body and healthcare community.

We are seeking faculty with expertise across all areas of speech, language, and swallowing disorders and across the lifespan with an emphasis on school-based, autism, fluency, and AAC experience.

The program provides a wide spectrum of state-of-the-art medical speech pathology instrumentation and equipment for student education and faculty research.

The major responsibility of this position includes serving as a faculty advisor in the academic and clinical areas. The program does not have an on-campus clinic, but some supervision may be required (examples include : activities in the classroom, simulations, community screenings, or health fairs).

Graduate teaching responsibilities include teaching several courses in different areas of the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program curriculum.

Engagement in professional and scholarly activities and service to the university and community are required. The ideal candidate will be interested in participating in collaborative clinical opportunities and research.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Candidates with expertise in bilingualism and / or bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Evidence of a commitment to culturally responsive practices in diverse and inclusive contexts and communities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working across disciplinary boundaries.
  • At least + years in clinical practice.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision of speech-language pathology students or clinical fellows.
  • Previous academic course design and teaching experience.

Required Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in communication sciences and disorders or doctoral degree in communication sciences and disorders or related field.
  • CCC-SLP required.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Arizona.
  • At least - years in clinical practice.
