We are looking for theright Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medicalassessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA'sdisability benefits process.
Inperforming Disability Assessments, you will review medical recordselectronically through a web portal and perform a focused,in-person physical exam on eachVeteran.
You will electronicallydocument the exam findings required by the VA through the webportal.
The Nurse Practitioner orPhysician Assistant DOES NOT make disability determinations. TheUnited States Veterans Administration makes all disabilitydeterminations.
This role ONLYperforms Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat,and you will NOT prescribe medication in thisposition.
This position performsDisability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans perday.
Schedule 2 days / week(8am-4pm)
Thisis an IN-PERSON position.
KeyAttributes :
- Interested in performing Independent MedicalAssessments.
- Able to analyzedata from the medical records and exam findings to complete thequestionnaire and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management, able to stay on taskand meet requirements.
- Musthold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant license.
- Proficiently use a computer.
