General Summary :

The Platform Solutions Ecosystem (PSE) team is the partnerships and developer product management arm of the Handset Business Unit at Qualcomm.

We work with businesses of all sizes, from startups to leading application developers and independent software and hardware vendors to build compelling and often industry-first use cases and partner solutions for our customers.

The team is hiring a Sr Product Manager to help drive the next phase of our growth. The successful candidate will 1) hunt for partners in new geography, technology or use case segments, 2) nurture and grow existing partnerships, and 3) help define and bring to market new software products such as SDKs, frameworks or tools that accelerate the adoption of innovative partner solutions within our customer base.

The Senior Product Manager will collaborate with external parties (such as partners, customers, developers etc.) and internal stakeholders (regional BD leads, engineering, product managers, program managers etc.

to fulfil their role. The successful candidate must be able to quickly establish trust, build collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders and get up to speed on internal processes.

Key responsibilities include :

• Collaborating closely with customers and internal stakeholders to tease out pain points related to handset UX, and / or developer experience.
• Creating business cases for the development of a new product or product features in an established product area (i.e., time to market, cost, market share).
• Defining new, differentiating use cases with partner solutions to address customer pain points.
• Hunting for new partners or expanding existing partnerships to build partner solutions or partner-facing software products.
• Driving go-to-market plans for new products and technologies by working with technical marketing, regional BD, event teams and direct customer contact.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations for new and existing products that explain and demonstrate the value of these offerings to customers.
• Creating a differentiated product roadmap in an established product area.
• Following up with customers to ensure the solutions built by the org meet their needs.
• Defining success metrics and tracking them with the XFN team and with product leadership during weekly reviews
• Working with Operation PMs and customer engineering to track the technical and business concerns of our customers.

Minimum Requirements :

• 6+ years’ experience as a product-oriented engineer or developer, or a technically savvy business developer
• 2+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.
• BS in Engineering, Math or related field required.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong decision making and comfort in making data-driven recommendations.
• Prior Excel and Power Point knowledge with experience providing executive reporting.

Preferred Requirements :

• 6+ years combined experience defining products used in smartphone software or developer programs.
• 2+ years of product management experience working with customer requirements, analyzing and synthesizing actionable insights.
• Familiarity with AI inference fundamentals, preferably on the edge
• Familiarity with Android multimedia frameworks and use cases.
• 2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
• 2+ years of working with operating budgets and / or project financials.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay range :

$152,000.00 - $228,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.

Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
